The IUNS-ICN International Congress of Nutrition is a four yearly meeting that’s been held since 1946. Its 21st edition will be based in Buenos Aires for the first time in its history..

Women of child bearing age, infants and young children represent the most nutritionally vulnerable stages of the life cycle. This conference provided a platform to share advances in addressing the health burden associated with malnutrition.

Thirty delegates gathered in Islamabad between 7th-11th April, 2014. SAIFRN and UNICEF opened the meeting with an advocacy seminar.

The Chief Guest was the Hon. Minister of State for Health, Mrs Saira Afzal Tarar. Prof Michael Dibley (SAIFRN – USYD) welcomed delegates and introduced SAIFRN.
